This is the first full bike ive bought in about 15 years after various frame up builds. I have not been disappointed at all at the equipment level or the overall ride for the price (£3499).
The instinct A50 climbs like a mountain goat with something to prove. The 29" wheels and 2.5" tyres roll well and grip fantastically without feelimg heavy or cumbersome. The X2 shock copes well and in the closed position basically creates a hardtail. Once you hit the summit and point the bars down the hill the bike transforms into a lively trail slayer. Its fast, and responsive with plush suspension set up which absorbs large and small impacts with ease. The Guide RE brakes stop the speed well and have good adjustment. I finished the bike off with Blackspire Sub 40 pedals too keep it Canadian which worked well.
Improvements - RM's spirit guide isnt ideal in a chain off situation (as i discovered unpacking the bike from the car) and the SRAM Eagle direct brake mount brings the shifter a ittle too close to the grips. These are niggles though and nothing that cant be worked around.
