i just got this chainguide and it is the best bang for your buck ,it has no sound at all , one drawback is that it is kinda heavy as both the adapter plate and backplate are steel .
Good solid chain gudie!! Bashring is also a simple/good !!! Love it... Although just a little bit pricey...
