Construction, quality, fit, all are top notch, however...

The material of the back pads is quite firm, and the pads are attached to a hard plastic frame, which is unpadded on the lower spine area. (Not visible in this photo). To me was quite uncomfortable after hours of riding. I glued on some closed-cell foam to make it more bearable, but still a bit of a bummer. Oh so close to perfection.

Game changer! This pack is so versatile that there is never a ride where it feels out of place. From all-day epics to short spins. First and foremost is comfort; it hugs the body and is padded perfectly so whatever odd item you threw in there two weeks ago (chef's knife, hammer, brass knuckles) won't bother you while riding. The fit system is incredibly versatile as well. Whether fully loaded with a ridiculus amount of gear, or empty it can be easily adjusted to fit. Very well thought-out design from the folks at Ergon. I love the outer helmet pocket and many well-placed tool/accessory pockets on the inside. Last but not least is the incredible build quality. Having used other products from Ergon, I have no doubt about the BA3 lasting for years of abuse.
