this fork is a good buy for the money. i have it on my partiot 66 and do a bit of everything, DH, 4x some drops/ jumps and this to the extent soaks it all up. just remember to pump it up hard and dont have the rebound to fast, or you'll go over your handle bars!!

I have this shock (in an older model) on my Jamis Dakar XLT bike. I bought the frame gently used and this was the original shock on the bike. It works great and I have yet to encounter a problem with this shock. It holds air very well and even though it has minimal rebound control it does effectivley work. I usually run the shock on the highest rebound (preference) and I find it feels good over small and medium and most of the time large bumps. I havent had the shock for that long yet so I havent been able to fully evaluate it, but as of now it works great and its the perfect shock to buy if you are on a budget!

Highly adjustable, and you can get it with 3 different propedal presets. Light riders beware, you won't be able to get full travel out of this without running alot of sag! However, PUSH industries sells a larger canister that they claim solves this problem.

I'm really impressed with this shock... I've only used one other Fox product before, theFox DHX 5.0 coil 8.75"x2.75". The Fox Float R is my first air spring shock and I'm surprised I'm not bottoming out as much as I thought I would. Very smooth comfortable ride. Easy to adjust and the lock-out is great (I have the Fox Float R2)

This may not have as many bells and whistles as the RP23, but it has the same performance. If you have a well designed bike you don't even really need all the different ProPedal settings, just the medium.

Good, simple, Rear shock. Nothing bad to say about it. It's light. It's about all ya need on the good ol' trail smasher or sloap bike.
