I have the slightly higher level '19 RC World Cup. Has XX cranks/derailleur, xo cassette/shifter, fox nude rear shock & Rock Shox Sid fork. First week I had it I road the Lutsen '99er. Tough ride but bike worked amazing.
Love the twin loc suspension adjustment. Going from singletrack to gravel road & back super easy to make bike almost a hardtail for efficiency. My buddy noted when on pavement the lack of bobbing.
The XO shifter lower trigger has been stripped. Tried adjusting to a comfortable position but could never get it right and the bolt holding it on finally gave way. Sram is replacing the shifter since it is so new. In the meantime I purchased an GX grip shift and had it mounted. Really love it. No discomfort and ability to shift as many gears as you want. Have not found any faults with this-though I've heard nothing but bad stuff about grip shift since the '90's. It really works nice.
Brakes are Sram Level TLM-which I have yet to discern any difference in Sram brakes whether they are the most basic or highest end. They all feel the same & seem to squeal a bit. Wish it had Shimano as I've never had them squeal & love the positive feel.
Love the look & feel of the Syncros Fraser bars & saddle. Wish the handlebars were more compatible with bike computers-comes with a garmin mount that connects with the stem bolt. Needed to get a garmin to wahoo adapter. No problem however tightening headset has caused the mount to crack. Hope it never falls off.
Rekon Race plus Dt swiss rims x1675 set up tubeless work terrific. The DT swiss rims are far less flexy then the Sun Ringle rims that came on a Pivot 429 Trail. Stout & fast. Had a front puncture that resolved itself in a matter of seconds with the tubeless setup. So cool to recognize a flat & then continue riding when it seals itself.
Overall could not ask for a better bike for the money. It's light and has top quality parts on it. I was able to get a new '19 for $2500 off. Which retail on a Scott RC WC is still several thousands less than a comparable trek or specialized. Not sure how to justify $10k+ for those bikes but under $5k for a race quality bike is now a solid deal. I would not hesitate making this purchase again. So many times on the trail I'll mentally stop... and think wow that was fun!
