I got this derailleur a few months ago to replace an old sram 5.0 esp. I paired it up with a shimano cassette, kmc 8.99 chain and sram x7 trigger. It was easy to install and set up and hasnt needed any tuning since. It shifts quickly, smoothly and predictably under all workloads. I ride my bike all-mountain about 5 days out of the week in all conditions and the only thing I have had to do is clean the mud out of the jockey wheels. I'm completely satisfied with the product and havent had any problems. If youre a rider on a budget, look no further. The x7 wont disappoint you

 Pro :

Reliable, rugged and easy to tune (much more easily than comparable Shimano product). On of the rare drive train pieces that that I haven’t needed to change every years. I have ridden 4 years with a X7 rear derailleur, I changed it for another X7 after 3 years. Didn’t notice performance difference compare to a X9 on my new bike.

Derailleur good. Definitely better than 3.0. Compared to X-5 does not differ very much. Hardness of the springs were similar, smooth gear changes the same. Strength is also similar. In my opinion, price / performance ratio is better in X-5 as in the X-7.

Zajebista wrecz przerzutka. Wczesniej mialem XT od Shimano, ale z ciekawosci zmienilem na SRAMa X7 wraz z manetkami, tez X7 Odczucia niesamowite. Szybkosc i precyzja dzialania. Swietny sprzet za rozsadne pieniadze.

Got pretty good precise shifts. Not that hard to set up. Cheap for good performance. looks sleek. But don't know if it's my derailleur, it CLUNKS when it shifts

The X7 Deraillure and drive train is the perfect setup. After using for 1 year I couldnt be more pleased, The shifting is right on the mark, smooth and quiet.

quick shifting, strong and stiff. I had set it only once when I bought it and it's still working good. Low cost for very good product!
