The Neuron is a fast and reliable hardpack terrain tire with an aggressive tread pattern and heavy duty casing capable of withstanding modern World Cup racing levels of punishment. Firm directional central knobs reduce rolling resistance, while stickier lateral knobs with internal sipes optimize cornering and transitional grip. Geax’s exclusive TNT-DH construction allows the option of running tubed or tubeless; a fully rigid bead prevents air loss, unseating and roll-off...catastrophic circumstances in DH racing. Tip: the Neuron makes an excellent front tire for all dry DH applications. Pair with a rear DHEA or Neuron depending on the course and riding style.

Bead Type - there are two main types. Kevlar/Folding Bead (lighter and ca be folded so riders can put them in their jersey pocket or hydration pack incase they rip their sidewall) and Wire/Steel Bead (heavier, cheaper, not as strong or portable, and more difficult to mount on a rim).
