Yeti SB140

 This bike rips! Yeti has put together a rig that is purely made to put a smile on your face. Whether it be hitting the local dirt jumps or going straight down a rock garden the bike is just fun. It truly is a mountain bike it goes up and then back down really well. When looking into this bike I will admit that I was skeptical of the switch infinity platform for climbing but it really works. The bike stays high in its travel and tracks the ground wonderfully. I never feel the need to hit the little lever on the shock because you just don't need it at all unless your entire ride consists of uphill out of the saddle pedaling on the road. And like I said earlier the bike rips when you point it downhill. Yeti has done an amazing job with setting up the suspension kinematics. The suspension feels ridiculously smooth all the way through its travel and there are no harsh bottom outs. It ramps up nicely and you have plenty of help when thing get rowdy. I will say that it doesn't track amazingly through rock gardens with big rocks but that can almost certainly attributed to the smaller wheels. Yeti has also done a phenomenal job with the feeling of the bike. It performs best as a playful trail bike that likes to hit all the extra credit lines. The bike is very playful and while I can't figure out how to do whips I'm certain that it's the rider. The 27.5 inch wheels make the bike eat turns for breakfast lunch and dinner and they really don't inhibit you in any way. All in all this is a super fun trail bike that loves everything from long adventures in the mountains to bike park laps. I would highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for an all around bike that is in search of a more basic type of fun.
