I had the honor to work on projects that involved extreme off-road (no trails), and sensitive electronic equipment installed in trucks and SUVs. After the design and the approval process, we spent over six months perfecting the system to provide seamless operation in the harshest environments. I was lucky enough to have numerous opportunities that were similar and gained valuable experience during the process. It cemented the idea that any product can be build to last, its about the initial design details and requirements, the level of engineering spent to simulate the product prior to even building the first prototype. Then comes rigorous real-life testing, and Utah is probably on top of that list for a good reason when it comes to bike racks.

The ALTA SIX GPR is based on a concept of Seal team Six. We wanted to create a system that was tactical, adaptable, and versatile. The approach is to build a General-Purpose Rack (GPR) that can be converted to different uses, without compromise. This is NOT a multipurpose rack. We start with a solid structure that is suitable for heavy weight carrying and is balanced. The GPR system is one size, which will allow the user to upgrade their rack from a four pack to five or six by just adding baskets. It is light, and is meticulously designed. By adding baskets, we create different carry racks.

One thing is for sure we are in the constant improvement process business, as bikes and user behavior evolves so will we. That’s why we intent to release new products and improve existing products capabilities as long as we exist.

One last thing, building locally allows for tight control of the quality. Most companies don’t even see the final product prior to packaging which is done in the factory overseas. Our life time manufacturing warranty is backed by solid partners that have been in business for over 30 years. What kind of warranty can you expect from an overseas manufacturer?

Thank you

Ali
