In this series of blogs I would try to narrate my experiences travelling as cheaper as possible for going to all World Cup races that I can wihtout no support and with the only help of a couple of friends, riders, some bloggers and my savings.
- Sam Blenkinsop
Well...let´s start.
- Some of my weapons.
First race of the year is "close" of my home, after eight hours by car and some prays we arrive at Lourdes for the first stop of the World Cup season. I went to the Media Room to catch the "Presse" pass and then to take the hundred years old uplift who takes 7 minutes since the bottom to the top.
This track is rocky, with some smooth parts, not much roots and not too steep, however without any kind of doubt is a World Cup track.
- It hurts.
Who did not believe that Bruni would win his first race? The young frenchman is at just one step of glory.
- Bruni had a crash on trainings. Time to think.
- Loic Bruni at the first Road Gap, 2nd.
- Michael Jones, 3rd.
- Markus Pekoll...so close. Get well soon!
- Charly Di Pasquale. This guy rocks, 25th.
- Connor Fearon broke his pedal in the final like Loris Vergier during his qualifying run.
- Neethling also with a flat tyre.
- Danny Hart placed first with a time of 3:05.577. Finally finished 4th.
- Not the best start of the season for Gee, 48th.
- Massives high fives with Brendan after his crash on finish line, 6th.
- The timing man. A.K.A. God.
- Emmeline Ragot takes the victory.
- Rachel Atherton, 2nd.
- Rémi Thirion with a flat tyre let him no chance, 29th.
- Not the best run of Ratboy, 7th.
Now everybody was sloped of Loic Bruni after another flat tyre in this case of Neko Mulally who lets him with no chances. Would be Bruni able to beat the time?
- Loic Bruni greeting Neko Mulally.
Aaron Gwin is back.
- He looks very confident and smooth on trainings.
- Qualifying wasn't good to him, he crashed in the top section.
- Gwin smashes the previous time, - 6.886s.
- This season will be interesting.
