2012 Orange Gyro Test Ride
We love getting new toys to try out - this time Dave from Orange kindly came up to the Tweed Valley with the new Gyro for us to put it through its paces. The Gyro is Oranges new 29er, based on the Five single pivot design with tweaked geometry.
We asked Jake Hood, from Alpine Bikes Glentress to show Dave around and he did a great job of keeping up (mostly!)
We were all really impressed with the bike - Orange have taken the iconic Five frameset and tweaked and played with the geometry to make sure the fun feel of the Five is still in place, while balanced off nicely against the efficiency and free rolling feel of the big 29er wheels.
Don't take our word for it though, test ride it yourself - we have a demo bike in our Glentress store.
