Which challenges do shapers have to overcome, in order to prepare the trails for the summer?
The shapers are continuously battling the elements. Water is the greatest enemy for the trail itself. After the winter effective drainage and treatment of North Shore elements is very important and have to be in mint condition before the season starts. However bike park preparation is not only about working with dirt, but also stocking new products in the bike shop and servicing over 100 bikes for our rental customers.

How long does it take to prepare for the new bike season?
Preparation for the new season already starts behind the scenes after the MTB-Festival Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, which is usually the first week of August. Since the Waldbahn at the bottom station lies at 1420m / 4658.8ft above sea level, the bike park crew with the new bike park manager Christian Zangerl usually starts work on the trails from the beginning of May, so that you can send it again from June 11th.
How do you build the perfect trail?
It is a life-long task to build the perfect trail.

What's new and fresh this year at Bikepark Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis?
Certainly the improvements and new sections on the Frommestrail! The whole bike park will be reshaped though and the training area will be upgraded, as we are installing a conveyor belt. Also we are expanding the pumptrack with new variations. But you should come and check it out for yourselves.
