Ok so this year I want to focus on racing (DH/Enduro) and Mountain Biking in general A LOT, last year it was suppose to be like this plenty of rides and races but just didn't pan out that way. Pretty hard really when you have to rely on other people to make what you want to do happen. Sounds like a bit of an excuse I know but its true, going out riding by yourself isn't as much fun as it sounds and isn't that safe either. I maybe need to not rely on other people for the motivation to go and ride/train if i'm so big into it?
Anyway I currently have 2 races (thus far) booked and planed 1.At Chopwell on the 17th January, that's next Sunday as of today (being the 10th Jan) and then the 20th of March @GisburnForrest which we (the gang) rid on the 2nd January.
My first time there and it was a beast of a hard slog especially for me who doesn't like to peddle but I did OK if i don't say so myself. This was probably due to the Norco being really light. But 20+ miles done and managed in wet sodden conditions felt pretty good. The bike performed well and i think my wet weather game is improving, well best I could tell on a new bike id only ridden twice before going there.
So i'm going to try and get as much practice and do as much riding as I can this year and document it with this blog and videos.
1st blog done peace out..
I'd like to end this with something like "and now to get ready and hit the trails" but i'm not its Sunday and really shit weather i'm probably going to watch some cool edits and read MBUK which came through my door 2 days ago. What a start!
