The first Evans Cycles Urban Dual took place this Sunday evening in Cardiff. Once the car park was cleared above the shop itself, the track was laid out ready for the riders to get on it! Uplifts were via the stairs or the handy lift. The choice was yours.

Qualifications went well with riders riding solo so they could learn the track without having to fend off other riders all the way. It was in finals that the action really began to heat up.

The choice of bike was down to you. There was everything from hardtails to downhill bikes there was even a folding bike and a courier bike. Although the bike of choice was the hardtail, and all that featured in the finals.

With action underway the racing was tight. Riders were looking for the smallest window to overtake their opponents. This didn't always work and sometimes one or both the riders went down on the hard ground.

By the end we had our winners. Lewis Lacey and Katy Curd who took home the grand prize of 1000 pounds!

3rd. Alex Metchalf
3th. Martin Ogden

Womens:

Will we see another race like this anytime soon? I hope so as it was a fun evening for all and anyone could take part, no matter what bike you brought!
