One of the most exciting aspects of the 2014 Garmin Arenacross Tour is seeing how outdoor specialists adapt to the short, sharp races on the tight and technical indoor tracks.

In Liverpool we saw how quickly Elliott Banks-Browne has got up to speed and 26-year-old Jason Dougan, another outdoors-only rider making his indoor debut this year, also came good to get on the podium in third.

“I’m very happy with my result,” says Jason, who’s racing the series for MVR-D Honda. “Like I said on the podium, I struggled at the first two rounds just to find my feet – it’s something I’ve never done before so it’s a massive learning curve. I managed to get some good starts in Liverpool and stay out of trouble and that worked.

“I’ve been ill all week so I’ve not been riding and I was a bit unprepared but it’s worked out well. So many of the riders here are capable of getting onto the podium it’s a case of putting yourself in the right position and I’ve managed to do that.”








After an incendiary afternoon of full-contact racing in Liverpool the 2014 Garmin Arenacross Tour heads North East to the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle for round five this Sunday (February 9).
