Do you own one?
If so, Read on.
Due to its Racelight nature, this lovely frame has a major pitfall. the downtube is more dent prone that a coke can, if you own a session, and it has dented, Definately keep reading here.
Mine has developed a massive dent on the downtube, aswel a smaller one behind the headtube, but thats enough of the personal issue. This is the bigger picture that should concern all owners.
Having sent my frame to trek, they will NOT warranty any frames due to denting, no matter where, even on this overly thin area on the downtube. they will offer you a replacement at 30% off, and if you have the money thats alright, but in times like these financially, im sure its not going to happen.
So, i gave trek a call, the man i spoke to told me that he was going to look into it with the warranty/returns department, but Trek UK has not had enough feedback regarding this to cause any concern. the point of this? If you own a session 88, and have dented it in these areas, Call trek, flag up the issue, dont harass them, dont beg at them, just make sure that THEY know that the problem is there, because if there is enough feedback, they may just do something about it.
Good Riding!
