When three time US National Champ, Amy Morrison reached out to Polygon Bikes to support NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association), we jumped at the opportunity. Amy Morrison, who is a school teacher in Nevada, also volunteers her time to coach students in mountain biking skills.
NICA is a non-profit organization founded in 2009, that develops youth mountain biking programs across the United States. Their vision is to empower every youth member so that they can be part of a thriving and engaged cycling community.
Amy Morrison, not only plays a huge part in developing the skills of the next generation of mountain bikers, but she is also instrumental in mentoring young females in the sport. Amy teaches young girls all about strength, confidence and resilience; as well as provides the tools to pursue a healthy, active lifestyle through mountain biking.
| I can confidently say that the bikes donated by Polygon to the club I coach and the NICA Nevada North League changed 20 kids’ lives. Whether it was their first-time mountain biking or the access point to be able to bike again, these kids were stoked on their new bike. What is amazing about mountain biking is that it is a lifelong sport that can be a way for them to adventure and find a community as they navigate different stages of life. I appreciate having the support of Polygon this season in my own riding, but also their generosity to support youth getting into the sport!—Amy Morrison |
Polygon is proud to support Amy Morrison in her role of inspiring and developing the next generation of mountain bikers.
