The third race of the 2017 Chaoyang Brasil Enduro Series took place in Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro, on the beautiful trails of the only imperial city in Latin America.
All the riders made a promo group star, from the pit area, located in front of the Imperial Museum od Petropolis, drawing attention from locals and tourists. The special stages were considered by many the best in four years of B.E.S. existence.
The highlights of the weekend were the stages on Sunday, in “catelinho” and “Chaii”. Stunning view of Rio de Janeiro and extremely technical tracks pleased most of the riders. The realization of the event on this location was possible through a partnership between the Chaoynag Brasil Enduro Series organization and the ICMBIO—the public agency that takes cares of the Serra dos Orgãos Nacional Park. The idea was that the event would be a lab to make official and signalized trails on the “Castelinho” area.
"It was a great race. Beyond our expectations, really. All the technical and fun trails and the amazing views mixed with clear weather made the weekend. The department of sports and culture of the city hall supported us very well and it all worked out how it was supposed to" said Theo Duarte, one of the event’s organizer.
In the Pro field, the all around talent Bernardo Cruz (GT/Chaoyang/ASW/Adidas) took the win, followed by “local” Diego Knob ( Santa Cruz/Petropolis Enduro Team/Malharia Zancanelli). Wallace Miranda ( Fox Head/Chaoyang/Dopamina) was third. The winner of the women's category was Patricia Loureiro ( Specialized), followed by Barbara Jechow ( Chayang/Fokus/Five Tem/Fox) and Beatriz Ferragi (Cannondale/ The Bike Culture/ ASW).
Next and last stop will be in Urubici, Santa Catarina, on setember 2nd and 3rd, were the Champions of the Chaoyang Brasil Enduro Series will be known.

Uns imbecis dum site tanga froxa xingaram o evento, falando que nao tem pedal, que nao sei o que.... É meio lamentavel ver nego que nao conhece a modalidade, e faz comentarios negativos precipitados sem saber do que esta falando.
To falando sim destes caras do Pra Quem Pedala.
