The synopsis for my new DH mountain biking film - TIA.

Australia is home to many of the world’s fastest, most skilled, and most successful DH mountain bike riders. Australia is widely known to have the most well-rounded group of professional riders anywhere, consisting of many different riding styles and personalities. In light of the phenomenal success these riders have had, at the highest level, over the past several years TIA: This Is Australia will take a look into what makes Australians so good at riding bikes down hills.The film is a sports documentary containing exciting, fast-paced sequences showing off the pure talent that these riders have, and a mix of interesting and relevant information. The film will have a strong narrative based on the lifestyles of the riders and the Australian riding culture in general. Interviews with riders’ parents and friends, as well as with important industry figures such as the Australian DH coach, will give viewers a detailed and intimate insight into what it takes to be the best in the world.

TIA features the top Australian riders, such as Sam Hill, Nathan Rennie, Chris Kovarik, Jared Graves, Mick and Tracey Hannah, Jared Rando and Amiel Cavalier, who have proven themselves at the highest level. In addition to this, TIA will feature the next generation of Australian DH riders, with a host of the emerging talent from across the country.

The film is shot all across Australia, from Perth to Canberra, Adelaide to Cairns, showing viewers the incredible variety in Australian terrain and trails.

TIA: This Is Australia will be a fresh look into the mountain biking world, giving dedicated and experienced mountain bikers something new to learn, and viewers who are either new to the sport or not a part of the sport at all, an interesting look into what is a very lively, exciting and fast-moving culture and sport.
