About me

A little introduction for my new friends!Hello everyone! I've been to this website over a hundred times, and for some reason I've never signed up an acount till now. So I figured that I would give up some dirt on who I am, where I've been, and where I'd like to go. So here goes...
I've been riding two wheels since I was coordinated enough to run pretty much. My pops used to race moto back in the day and wanted me to be a chip off the old block. I took my first set of stairs when I was five, needless to say, he was stoked. He supported me whole heartedly from day one in everything I did, and always pushed me to be better.
I started out Idolizing guys like Jumpin Joe who would rock cherry pickers like they were going out of style and surf for blocks. On any given day you could find me balanceing on my Dyno in the living room, reading a BMX plus and watching RAD, lol. But then I met a guy at my local shop named Vance (who I later found out held the guiness book world record for highest bunny hop in 84), who got me totaly stoked to learn trials. I got a real mountain bike soon after, threw a shorter stem, rise bars, old school crud buster, and some brake plates on her, and had my first official stock trials bike. I got to go see a Hans demo at one of the shops in the next town and it inspired me to go bigger and try harder.
Then came Hammer Time, and it got me stoked all over again, seeing Brian Lopes, and Matt Hoffman hucking on bikes that looked like mine. It re-ignited my love of bmx flow again wich started to seep in to my rideing.
I discoverd music at a young age as well, and when I became a teen I started learning to play everything I could get my hands on. It became more and more serious of an indevour for me since its in my nature to do everything 110%, and eventualy took much of my time, and what little I had left over, I didn't devote to riding as much as I'd liked to. For lack of funds mostly, my bike became neglected. Eventually I was living the life of a touring musician and had the stereo typical shortage of money that comes with that, Which led to me not riding at all for about 2 years.
Now, a little older, in the military, breaking from music, and longing for the early morning wake ups and all day rides in Moab, Fruita, and all my favorite eastern slope trails in colorado, I've come back to riding. And much like an old friend, its welcomed me back into its world, somtimes punishing me for the years of neglect, but still my friend non the less, lol.
I'm looking forward to getting a couple new rides for my return back to the states, and exploring some new trails in TX's were I'm stationed. I'm also looking at going to one of the oh so awesome woodward like gravity camps I've read so much about over the last 2 years. I'm supper stoked at how connected the mountain biking comunity has become via the internet, and how easy it is to find cool people to ride with and talk to about the sport. I think that now is a great time in mountain biking, with so many people doing there part to put forward the best possible face for our communities and trails. I can't wait to see were riding will take me now, and look forward to meeting new like minded riders to push the sport even further. Its a pleaser to meet all of you, and thanks for being so cool!

Well, I'm 40 now. Fortunately, I've learned how to type. Unfortunately, I've not gotten any healthier.
