This is one bike you won't see another on the trails anywhere!
The Norco Fluid has been an extremely popular bike since it's redesign in 2023, with the FS 1 aluminum build even claiming the accolade of Pinkbike's Value Bike of the Year. When the carbon version was announced to replace the Optic in Norco's lineup, it's popularity could only grow.
At our shop here in Southern Alberta, we sell a lot of Norco bikes as they are a Canadian brand with excellent value. We don't live near any crazy gnar like on the North Shore so we don't need big hitting, long-travel bikes so the Fluid fits us perfectly. We had the opportunity to scoop up one of the limited edition harlequin paint frames (no. 37/50) and decided it would be cool to build it up into something super unique.
The first choice we made was to pair the limited edition frame with a limited edition fork from Marzocchi. The throwback style white Bomber Z2 matched the white logo on the frame nicely, and made it pop at the front end. Plus, everyone knows how solid of a fork that Z2 is without breaking the bank.
The white on white front end is bold, but so is the bike.
We went back and forth on most of the build spec several times as we couldn't decide whether to make the bike really high-end or to keep it simple and reliable. One component in question was the drivetrain. We ended up going with a 12 speed TRP shifter and derailleur as it kept the unique parts spec going and it meshed nicely with the SRAM GX cassette. Plus, the clutch has a super cool ratchet system! The wheels are Stan's Flow MK4 rims laced to their own hubs, we have ridden these many times and they hold up to daily use.

We shot a build video putting together this wonderful machine for your viewing pleasure as well. One comment that we continually get is about the Tacky Chan tires and why we chose them. They're good tires! That's all there is to it; they're very precise and grippy, and they roll along quite well. What more could you ask for out of a trail bike!
