Powder Ridge

- 10\10\2013, Hey all, just wanted to post an update on Mountain Biking Trails at Powder Ridge CT. It has been about 10 months since this venture started and unfortunately it is going to be awhile until it comes to fruition. There are currently 3 top to bottom DH trails cut in. The lines are solid and good, they will be great lines, especially once they are built up and completed.

The delay has been due to a couple things; first; this past summer was focused on Brownstone Park and second; the current focus is on opening Powder Ridge for skiing and snowboarding for the winter of 2013\2014. Therefore,it appears that the MTB Trails will not be a priority until the spring of 2014. At that time the priority will be on getting the MTB trails completed and ready to ride. Hopefully they will be ready to ride some time in 2014? I want to let everyone know that, although it is taking a lot longer than I initially thought, the project is still in motion! I do not plan to rush the trails, it is going to take as long as it takes to produce fun quality DH trails that everyone will enjoy. I thank you for your patience and understanding. As things start up again this coming spring I will keep everyone updated. Thanks for your patience, I will do everything in my power to make sure it is rewarded with some of the best DH trails New England has ever seen!

Sincerely

Vaughn Winkler aka Beastmaster

The trails will be a combination of DH and Freeride, think Jester/ CatsPaw, with a little bit of my personal signature build style thrown in. Goal is Fun for All

Did this project Die or is this still happening? I see they are advertising DH on their website, but not a peep of stoke anymore from anyone. hoping its a reality...
