Hi guys, I'll keep this simple. I'am a fellow rider and roam this site frequently. I'm also an Industrial design student (product design). I have directed my portfolio in the direction of action sports and my latest project will include goggles designed specifically for downhill and freeride riders. So I need input from all of you. What would you like to see in a DH / FR specific goggle.
So let me know what is important to you:
1) Ventilation
2) Smaller frame size (to fit smaller helmets than a typical MX goggle)
3) Spherical lens vs. cylindrical lens
4) Lens tinting, I was thinking transition lenses (change color in the light) for different riding conditions but tell me what you think
5) Could the straps use any updating or changes?
6) Do you like the arch for the nose to be higher or lower?
Any info you guys can give me would be very helpfull! As the project continues I will start to post designs/sketches for all of you to see. There WILL be a working model. I will post pics of that as well as all of my work and findings on here or I will post a link to another thread.
