Four young rippers, Malcolm, Anthony, Kaiden, and Nathan, got together to film this edit at Highlands Bike Park. We took some time to chat with them about the ins and outs of filming, setting goals, and getting sponsored.

Who taught you how to ride bikes? I taught myself.
Does anyone else in your family ride bikes? Who? Can they keep up to you? My dad. my mom, and my three year old sister all ride pedal bikes. My mom and sister can’t keep up with me going downhill. My dad can keep up with me, but not for long. When I get a bike with 24 inch wheels, I will definitely be faster than my dad.
Who are your heroes/favourite mountain bikers? Why? Kaidan is my favorite mountain biker because he is really good at dirt jumps and downhill and he is my friend. Anthony is my other favorite rider because he is my friend and he can do a lot of stuff better than me.
What is your favourite trail? Why? My favorite trail is Hellion at Highland because it has big jumps and technical spots also.
What is your most recent achievement? I started riding the big line in lower Sherwood Forest at Highland
What do you do when you aren’t riding bikes? That’s a good question. I sleep and go to the beach and go snowboarding.
What goals are you working on this summer? New tricks, going faster, bigger jumps? I am working on the denture feature on New England Style at Highland.
Do you have any sponsors? If so, who are they? If not, who would you like to be sponsored by? I am sponsored by my parents.
What was your favourite part about making the video? Riding was my favorite part, waiting around was not very fun.

Who taught you how to ride bikes? My dad taught me how to ride when I was three years old. I started out on a glider bike that was made out of plastic tubing but I broke it trying to do jumps. I also started out doing the Kids Camps at Highland Mountain Bike Park and now I do Summer Ride. I can’t wait until I’m old enough to do Ayr Academy. Chad and Chris (coaches) have taught me to jump and do big drops.
Does anyone else in your family ride bikes? Who? Can they keep up to you? My whole family rides bikes. My dad and I ride downhill but we also do a lot of cross country rides as a family. My mom and my big sister Anna mostly ride cross country but sometimes they ride downhill too. My dad can keep up with me when we ride downhill but I’ll be faster than him soon.
Who are your heroes/favourite mountain bikers? Why? I really like Brandon Semenuk because he is super good at riding. I also like Cam McCaul because he’s funny and also very good. A long time ago I said hi to him at the Claymore Challenge.
What is your favourite trail? Why? Highland Mountain Bike Park is my favorite place to ride and I have a lot of favorite trails. If I had to pick one it would be Cat’s Paw. I like it because it has lots of cool transfers you can find. It’s really fun to ride it and find new lines to ride.
What is your most recent achievement? I just learned to do no footers in the jump park and I also learned to do the denture on N.E. Style and the last drop on Bone Saw.
What do you do when you aren’t riding bikes? I like to ski with my sister and friends in the winter. I really like music and I play the piano. I’m also into running, soccer, and playing car racing games on my Xbox.
What goals are you working on this summer? New tricks, going faster, bigger jumps? I’m learning to do no foot cans but they’re very hard. I know I’m going to get them though.
Do you have any sponsors? If so, who are they? If not, who would you like to be sponsored by? I don’t have any sponsors but I would really like to be sponsored some day. I would love to get sponsored by any company but when I’m older I want to be a pro and get sponsored by RedBull.
What was your favourite part about making the video? Riding Cat’s Paw with Malcolm, Nathan, and Kaidan was so awesome! I also liked the train we did on the dirt jumps in Lower Sherwood Forest. We all really had a great time all riding together.

Who are your heroes/favourite mountain bikers? Why? Cam McCaul. I like that he always has a positive attitude, and he is funny.
What is your favourite trail? Why? Tombstone [at Highland]. It is a really fun drop!
What is your most recent achievement? Tombstone drop to the big double and hitting the Pinkbike double on the slope style course.
What do you do when you aren’t riding bikes? Work on our jumps at home and practice for my gymnastics team.
What goals are you working on this summer? New tricks, going faster, bigger jumps? Practice more tricks and hit more jumps on the slope style course, like freebird.

Who are your heroes/favourite mountain bikers? Why? Cam McCaul, Mat Macduff and Jamie Goldman. They seem like no matter what they are always having a great time riding!
What is your favourite trail? Why? Hellion [at Highland ], because it is just jump after jump, and it is fast!
What is your most recent achievement? The Tombstone drop and double at Highland, and tuck no handers.
What do you do when you aren’t riding bikes? I like photography, filming and editing bike videos.
What goals are you working on this summer? New tricks, going faster, bigger jumps? I would like to get a suicide no hander, shoulder buzzer and a 360.

Not that I'm against Red Bull at all, I'm just in favour of trying to minimise kids exposure to sugary drinks. This would likely be done by reducing advertising aimed at kids and reducing accessibility. Those mechanisms seemed to work for tobacco.
