PRESS RELEASE: DVO Mob n Mojave, Enduro presented by GT Bicycles and ODI Grips

Bootleg Canyon has been busy preparing for the largest mountain bike race ever to grace their infamous trails. This year the Enduro World Series (EWS) will have 7 stops for the North American Continental Series, with Bootleg Canyon being the very first stop on the tour. Imagine a World Cup event where amateurs can race the same course on the same day amongst some of the very best in the world. That is what these EWS Continental Series races are all about. So far the very best from the USA, Canada, and Mexico have been signing up in masses. Many other elite Enduro athletes are expected from around the globe as well to get a taste of the Southern Nevada winter mountain bike racing scene in February from the 14th - 16th, 2020.

This event is also the second event of the 3-event DVO Winter Gravity Series (WGS) Enduro presented by GT Bicycles and ODI Grips. All DVO WGS events begin on Fridays with ample amounts of open practice, a fun Dual Slalom race, shuttle service, race registration, Packet Pick-Up, and even a FREE DVO Happy Hour trackside during the afternoon DS race. Seen here are racers Ryan Wischmeyer #115 and Austin Hentsch #69 battling out it for the Dual Slalom State/Regional Championships last month.

Saturday is the EWS Enduro race with $2,500 in cash for the top 5 Pro Men and Pro Women. If you are looking for EWS points, all pertinent information can be found on the event organizers website. Here is an example of the EWS info you will find.

"As the various EWS Continental events do not all necessarily use the 6 official EWS categories (Men, U21 Men and Master 40+ Men, Women, U21 Women, and Master 35+ Women) and as riders will sometimes race outside their EWS age category at regional events, EWS Continental level series ranking points are assigned as follows".

"Providing they have raced all the same stages, riders are sorted into one of the above 6 categories based on their year of birth. Riders with an EWS membership are assigned ranking points for their finish position within that group". Event Organizers Website

All Enduro racers that sign up in Pro/Open or Category 1 will have a choice to compete for EWS points with the required EWS membership. If you are in one of these categories and have the EWS membership number, your results will be submitted to the EWS in one of the 6 EWS categories. Also, all in the Pro/Open or Category 1 will do a 4th stage that will be much more technical than the 1st 3-stages. Category 2, 3 and Juniors will only do the 1st 3-stages.

Sunday is the Downhill race with $1,500 in cash for the top 5 Pro Men and Pro Women. This DH racecourse will have a split for the Pro, Open and Category 1 that will challenge all and have the Bootleg Pucker Factor (BPF) going for it. Juniors, Category 2 and 3 racers will have it a little easier. BPF rating is 7 for Pros/Elite and 5 for all others.
