SDA rd. 2 Aberfeldy

most people have probably never heard of aberfeldy and to be honest i hardly had either i until i logged on to the sda home page and found that round three had been changed from pitfichie to aberfeldy. oh well less of a journey for me.when i turned into aberfeldy i didn't really know what to excpect, ok so i knew it would be natural but that didn't really prepare me for what i found. when i walked up the course i was pretty amazed it was super technical through thick new forest then it opened out and there was a huge steep rocky off camber turn. after that i turned back becuase i had left my bike at the bottom of the course. practice was going to be intresting...

Practice
generaly you can expect a difficult course when event organisers tell you over the tanoy to walk the course first. well i'd walked half of it, does that count? sitting on the up lift truck i was slightly concerned. actually i'll be honest, i was trying to stop my breakfast from ending up in my boxers. i unloaded my bike from the uplift truk to be honest the top section was pretty much the same as the bottom having stood watching one section for about 5 minutes and saw like ten folk crash but for some odd reason i ws looking forward to it. i cruised down the course and at one point i stopped at this section and some dude was just lying there on the floor. oh well better get going. soon i was at the steep corner i decided coming over the drop was clever i was wrong i ended up bailing over the edge and rolling thrugh the bracken the rest was fairly strait forward jst turn early and hold your line really. no problem jst needed to do that in the race runs.
