Prevantorio Style - Chania (1st open cup race - Greece) Video - REcap

This is the presentation of the very first season race here in Greece.

We have successfully made ​​a return after 3 years of absence of "PREVANTORIO STYLE" in Chania, Crete.Prevantorio Style downhill race was conducted with great success, after 3 years of absence in Chania, Crete. The race included 2 different DH races with the same starting point. Both race were something special for the Greek DH community, once both tracks were short but rich in features.

The schedule started on on Friday with 3 hours of practice on the Saturday race track. The course was very technical with tight passes through trees and a sweet drop which gave many riders a taste of Crete’s dirt. Later on followed 3 hours of practice on Sunday’s cource, which was less technical but more fun.





Next day all participants were ready for the fisrt race of the year. The race constisted of 3 timed descents from which the best was taken in concideration. Fragioudakis Giannis was the winner for the Hardtail category, Kriemadis Stamiatis was the Junior winner, Ernesto Sakelarakis in Master category and Konstantinos Andriotis in Elite category (Best lap of the day).


Later on all participants had the opportunity to have a meal at a friendly taverna a little outside Chania city where a raffle was also held and sponsors handed out givaways.


The last day started of early, and included a cycleride with handicap kids the same time with races for little kids in the Hospital of Chronic Diseases. Next followed the second DH race with everyone’s head turned to the general standings for both days. The winner after the three timed descents in Hardtail category was Fragioudakis Giannis, Kriemadis Stamiatis was the Junior winner, Ernesto Sakelarakis in Master category and Argiriadis Kostas in Elite category (Best lap of the day).
