Corstorphine invitational

Dec 7, 2008 at 3:03
by James Robertson
just basically a meet for all the riders in or near Edinburgh, get a group of riders up there and depending on the turn out maby some timing.Boared of waiting for the alpine bikes winter series forms to come out?
Want to get out with a bunch of riders for an end of 2008 ride?
Then this is for you, basically just a bunch of riders all up corstorphine
for a ride and a chinwag.

Depending on howmany people turn out there could be some timing and a BBQ but bring your own munch just incase.

The location will be at some new trails on corstorphine about 5 mins away from the "secret" garden and i have already been asked by a few people, "is it for a full suspension bike or a ht?" well its up to you , the track involves a few techy bits and a big long pedally section so its completeley up to you. Me personally will be there on the glory just because its more fun.

The track itself has a few small rocky sections, a pretty big chute as far as Corstorphine goes, a long fast section with a few so called "pump bumps" at the end of it, but if anyone manages to "pump" these bumps then i will give them £5. After these bumps there is just a steep section with a couple off camber bits and roots followed by a long fast run to the bottom. Most of the push up stays off the track but there is a few very small sections where the push up is on the track, but i seriously dont think that there will be that many people that this will become a problem.

that is whare the trails are in relation to the garden, basically from the graden you go out into the big open are and go left up the big rocky section, from there go onto the big feild and follow it untill you come to an opening with a large tree fallen over on the ground. From there you just go straight along down the curvy path and turn left at some big wooden stairs from there you can see the track, it has a path gap right next to it and has a small metal sign right next to the chute with some form of byclcle related writing on it :S

So be there or be square Razz

New trails up Corstorphine hill
Edinburgh

As Christo added, it would be a good idea if i came down to the garden and just took people over to the trails, so feel free to try and get to the trails yourself in your own time, but i will take people over at 11 to the trails

Cheers from James

Also there will be plenty of "slot" to "drop some lyrics on and pick up some digits" *cough*cough
haha
