Video: Lab7Digital - The Locals Episode One

The Locals is the first series from Lab7Digital, showcasing the local talent across different disciplines including DH, BMX, 4X and MX.

In episode one we head to Trail-X with 4X rider Alex Metcalfe.

Alex been riding and racing since he was 4 and has a collection of national 4X and regional BMX titles. He now an elite rider in the British 4X series. The past weekend Alex raced a stacked field at the Ft William 4X Pro Tour and finished 11th earning himself qualification to the 4X World Championships later in the year.

Having never ridden Trail X before Alex was unsure what he'd find when he arrived. The trails were running nice and dry and after a few warm up runs Alex was good to go.

Never seeming to run out of energy Alex kept pushing back up to hit another section faster for the camera. I've raced against Alex in the past a few times and always knew he was fast, but watching him at Trail-X just made me feel a whole lot slower. Lucky enough I was behind the camera and not on the gate next to him.
