For Father's Day, we wanted to recognize all the dads who've cheered us on from the moment we took our first pedal stroke up until now. Your ability to teach without preaching, to challenge us to go beyond our limits, and – for sure – to hide your terror when we took off down the trail on our own, is nothing short of remarkable. Happy Father's Day!
To celebrate, here's a handful of our father/daughter duo's (and trios!) from across the country, and why they love riding together:
| “Sharing my love of riding strengthens the father/daughter bond on a whole new level, because every ride can be a memorable moment.” – Rich |
| "Mountain Biking is by far my favorite outdoor activity - and of course I’ve encouraged Chloe to ride bikes as well." – Mike |
| "I love watching Cate's enthusiasm and confidence grow as she tries harder things." – Carl |
| "Stella and I have been riding together since she was 2. She's now 12 and we do REAL mountain bike rides together." – Rich |
| "I want to show them how much fun it can be and why I ride so much,
I like to see how fast they improve!" – Yo |
Issie and Petra with dad, Yo
Sandy with dad, Rich
| "I like to ride because it makes me feel strong and able to do anything!" – Grace with dad, Craig |
| “Sharing my passion for biking and bikecamping with my girls has been super rewarding – hearing the girls talk about it to their teachers and friends all year round makes my heart soar.” – Ben |
| "I guess the reason we love to ride is that it takes us places we might not otherwise go. Sometimes we drive to the woods or sometimes we go around the corner to the park. We go from feeling like we can't to learning that we can." – Ben |
| "Chloe has found the passion for mountain biking on her own. Little Bellas has played a HUGE role in her excitement and confidence on the bike." – Mike |
| "He gives me tips and we race each other. It's fun!" – Avery with dad, Scott |
| “I love riding with Ruth and Sarah. Seeing their confidence grow as they ride farther and take on more challenges is one of the best gifts a father can get!” – Bill
|
| "I love the time we get to spend riding together free of distractions, and the pure joy Dakota shows whenever she's on her bike." – Whit |
| "To me this image sort of sums up our riding experience. It's really her riding and I'm a shadow. We've always loved riding together." – Ben
|
| "I love riding with Sabrina because it lets us spend fun time together and because I love seeing her joy when she rides, especially when she rides something harder than she thought she could do." – John

About Little Bellas
Little Bellas is a mountain bike organization whose goal is to help young women realize their potential through cycling. We aim to create a community that will empower girls through the sport, emphasize the importance of goal-setting, promote healthy life styles and recognize the positive effects of strong female bonds. While this program is centered around creating camaraderie for girls on bikes, it is most importantly about having fun in a constructive environment. With chapters currently in 16 states, Little Bellas empowers over a thousand females yearly. We are committed to having 60 programs by 2022.
