Sick New Line

Nov 7, 2009 at 10:11
by Matt davis
Hi jus thought id try making a blog. Me and 2 friends are building a new line going so i think having a blog might remind me to get pics of the jumps. Im not going to tell you where these are, they arent private so the less people who know about it the better. so here goes ill trry and keep it updated as i do more work on it. Enentually there should be 4-5 jumps in the line (atm 4) with a few rollers and bombholes between.

The last jump will be designed to have an insane ammount of speed (couple of big pump lumps) and will be a huge trick jump!

Check the To Do's list to see what coming on the next update(s)TO DO's

* Finish the bombhole between the second and third

* Finish the 3rd and 4th landers
* Finish step up roller
* Build step up landing
My work up until now

Since then theres been a lot of work.

Update: 07/11/09

Just me digging

There is now 3 in the line, the bombhole between the first and second needs smoothing out and making deeper, its pretty sick atm. I did an hours digging today and turned the 1st (which used to be a shitty tabletop) into a pretty big double and did a lot of work on the pit. It was too dark to hit them when i finished.

Update: 08/11/09

Just me digging

Got a lot done today, the bombhole between 1st and second just needs raking out to make it smooth, put a different run up on so you can get enough speed, the 1st and second are much better and ive been trying to use trailboss dans jump buildin method but it not working too well i cant get the back of the jumps to be vertical Frown

Just me digging

Got some more done today, made the 2nd landing much wider, did lots of work on the third takeoff, a bit on the third landing but it needs widening, done a lot on the bombhole between 1st and 2nd, started the roller double, got the logs in place and put a tiny bit of soil but didn't have much time Frown . Also i got some pics of what is planned Jailbreak oops made the pics too small Frown

Update: 22/11/09

Me and Speshguy digging Smile

Didn't get pics sorry, but the bombhole between the first and second is pretty much done now, its awesome and you get so much speed, im now confident that you will be able to make is over the second and if we can get the same sort of thing done between each of the jumps then it will be sick Smile . We have started a pump lump on the run up and the roller double is 3/4 done. The pumplump is going to be banked and quite big. Also we got the run up fully raked out so its awesome.

Ill try and get pics tomorrow i make no guarrentees though if not then next weekend for sure.

 Looking good man! I'd get some drainage in your troughs/ bombholes though otherwise its going to get pretty swampy in there! Good build though, looking forward to seeing more though

 yeah i am going to soon Smile

 haha you won't get the back and sides steep if the dirts that dry, its won't stick together well. Good effort though they look nice.

 oh right but if its really wet then it sticks to the spade Frown . U don't need to pretend those are good though lol even i think those are shite Smile . Did some work today though and im just uploading the pics now so they r pretty good (for me ) but still need a lot of work
  • 1 0
 yeh it will stick to the spade but when the spade gets worn in a bit more the metal will go all shiny and it wont stick so much. lol I'm not pretending i'v seen people build stuff alot worse, like piling up little sticks and then covering them with an inch of dirt. yours look pretty solid just not very big.
  • 1 0
 Cool yeh they were just sticks covered in mud but someone stole the sticks so now i make them the hard way but its a lot stronger

 how do you get the pictures to come up like that
  • 1 0
 I figured it out now, looks much better like that
  • 1 0
 Someone stole the sticks? Is your town quite poor or something lol
  • 1 0
 lol i mean they pull the sticks out, the jump collapses and they leave the sticks next to the jumps
  • 1 0
 Oh yeah haha, thats what happened with our old jumps ("parks") might be somewhere on my profile. We stopped using them because they are pretty much a key to taking the whole jump.

 i got a good idea.. give up with those and come help us build ours ;P orr find urself a new spot they will just get trashed
  • 1 0
