Ugh. Not a fan of Fox suspension but here we are. Factory Fox 38, $250 brand new from Jenson (27.5... that's why). Factory Fox Float X2 (factory replacement for an OEM X2 that failed for damper cavitation). Factory Transfer post ($150... also Jenson because it's only 100mm drop... I have short legs and a small bike).

FInished product. Tucking the harnesses was a pain in the ass.

1) RS Yari/Lyrik fork with McGyver-ed air shaft (cut 160 air shaft to 120). Charger damper makes this a Lyrik fork. 2) 1X12 drivetrain (Shimano XT rear derailleur, Amazon special cassette, Ebay special cranks) 3) WTB volt saddle 4) CB Stamp clone pedals 5) boost Roval front wheel 6) Tony's Minion DHF (thanks!) 7) 760 bar/50mm stem from ebike 8) dropper post The only carry-over from the shitbike is the frame, shock, rear wheel (and tire), and brakes. Everything else is new ($20 pedals, $30 I-spec brackets, about $20 of hardware) or from my spare parts bin. HA measures at 67.5 degrees (longer travel fork, higher volume tire). Let's see if I like this before considering an angleset. Weight dropped from 33.3 lbs to 31 lbs (even with dropper post). This is officially my first 29er.

4-5X application of paint stripper. Cannondale sandblasted the surface for better adhesion. Also took time to sand down that surface. This is after 10 hrs (?) of work.

$240 clapped out bike... shitty ass fork, rusted chain, dents in the downtube. Seller wanted $400, I balked when I saw and offered $240 hoping he'd say no. And here we are.
