The Lumberyard will be bringing its indoor Bike Park excitement to the Portland Auto Show for the 2nd year in a row. A custom bike ramp exhibit built just for the Portland International Auto Show will be the focus of regular riding demos from January 28th-30th. The public is invited to come check out the amazing high flying biking demo hosted by The Lumberyard Indoor Bike Park. The pro riders will include Paddy Gross, Levi Weert, Jamie Goldman, Ben Hucke and Steven Bafus and others. Adult and junior riders will be showing off their “mad skills”. Kids are welcome to try the adjacent bicycle skills course. Visitors will also have the opportunity to register for a chance to win prizes including free admission to the bike-park and lift tickets to Timberline Lodge Ski Area.
The Lumberyard features 66,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor riding tracks and is the only indoor facility of its kind on the West Coast. Since opening its doors in May 2012, Northeast Portland’s Lumberyard Bike Park has developed a variety of year-round youth programming including its expanding Shred Academy Camps and After School Programs. There’s also “Private Instruction” for all and a variety of “Adult Clinics”. The Lumberyard is also gearing up to offer off-site programming at area trails this Summer.
The Lumberyard is located in Northeast Portland at 2700 NE 82nd Ave. The park opened in May of 2012 and offers indoor and outdoor BMX and Freestyle Mountain biking to all ages and ability levels. Summer hours and discounted admission begin June 15th. The park is open daily and includes a full restaurant and bar.
