I find by this time of year, I’m missing summertime more than ever. Just as the subtleties in my memories in Whistler are beginning to fade, Callum Jelley sends me some footage we took awhile back to launch my mind into gear. Peter and I spent an afternoon with Callum terrorizing squirrels, high-fiving jumps, and logging leisure laps the Whistler Bike Park.Since this footage is from a single afternoon (which much of was spent harassing squirrels at the A-line rock drop), we decided to hit some of our daily highlights. The inspiration to high-five the Crabapple Hits came from earlier in the week when we had decided to ride A-Line top to bottom, next to each other. A group of 4 of us, separated into 2 pairs of Stephen Matthews and Ian Morrison, and Peter Matthews and Gareth Dyer, headed down the trail like a bunch of donkeys. The game was to high-five on as many jumps as possible...trail games are sweet right?
Finding yourself with too much time in the Bike Park? Too much time in the bike park isn’t a bad thing, it’s the best thing!
Peter Matthews and Stephen Matthews would like to thank:
