Spring has started

Hello Spring,
I went out riding for the first time with out snow this weekend at my home trails, the metacomet. This is a trail system in central Connecticut, on the west Hartford/Avon mtn. This mtn does not have a lift, but it has some quality, superb quality downhills. Since enduro is a fairly new type of MTB, I do not see many people with enduro bikes. I see downhill bike or trail bikes, but this place is as enduro as you can get in my opinion. I actually went once this year before this weekend but I do not count it because there was six inches of snow. This weekend there was no snow, but it was raining the day before. We rode down streams and got all muddy, but that's part of the fun anyway. I hit a new jump this weekend that is like a seven foot northshore drop, that has a pretty intimidating roll in, but after you conquer the roll in, the jump was light work. Even though I have a hardtail XC bike, this was a fun jump. I found a new ridding buddy who goes to my school, and he has an enduro bike if I have ever seen one. He bottomed out hit 160mm suspension, so I was nervous I was going to snap my bike in 2. We sessioned this jump for a little while, and I was able to throw some whips in eventually. When we were up there, there was a lost man named bastain. He just moves to ct from germany 2 months ago and he was looking for some fun trials. He had a rose bike, with some crazy fox suspension. I was on the ROSE web site and it is a fairly new brand, and I was stoked to see one. Bastain was a solid rider, and he could hang with me and my amigo.
