Niels Bensink and Drew Mechielsen headed to China for the UCI Pump Track Worlds Qualifier in Deqing and for the opening of the enormous Shenyang facility located in the popular Yougu River Park on the outskirts of the city.
The Shenyang project covers an area of almost 20,000 m2, this is one of Velosolutions' largest projects in the world, with four rookie and beginner tracks, a main World Championships Pump Track, two massive jump lines, a huge asphalt bowl, and a skate /BMX park.
The Valley Magic Shangzhu pump track in Deqing County played host to the qualifier on their immense pump track - with a total length of 425m - it made for killer laps on race day. With clinics, kids races and riding making the itinerary jam packed, no trip to China would be complete without exploring the Great Wall, Beijing and the local culture.
