2012 Trek Fuel EX 9.7 carbon frame (medium)

2012 Trek Fuel EX 9.7 frame in 17.5 virtual size - owned by myself since new and in superb condition.

It is equipped with Trek's custom RP2 DRCV shock, which works amazingly well at providing both brilliant pedalling and comfortable descending - without having to faff about with switches or dials.

Built up, it's a very light, very solid singletrack rocket, with amazing nimble and intuitive handling - perfect for places like Surrey Hills or trail centres, though I've also ridden Garburn Pass and some Welsh gnar on it and it coped great. It's a great alternative to bikes like the Yeti ASR5c or the Santa Cruz Blur TRc.

Only selling because I've moved up north and don't really have much of the twisty woodland singletrack that this bike is so great for, so I've got a 29er HT instead.

The frame is in great condition. All bearings running smooth - including headset and BB. Shock won't need a service for ages.

There was some cable rub to the rear of the seat tube, which I have had professionally repaired by HQ Fibre - hence the patch of missing colour under the helitape there.

There's also a tiny bit of rub near the front, which you can see in one of the pics.

Fork not included but can bung it in for an extra £200 - it's a Reba Team 120mm with 20mm maxle lite, which has only been ridden once since a professional service by Rebound suspension.

I picked this fork because it offered (and still does) the best balance of weight, stiffness and damping available.
