NOS 1991 GT Avalanche Framest

Frame is new old stock but there's a dime sized dent in the underside of the downtube from a storage accident and scratches on the downtube left side
sticker that resulted at the same time. Also there is evidence of cosmetic rust inside the frame and I tried to show this in the close-up pictures. Feel free to
inquire if you have any specific questions or concerns. It may have been a dealer showroom display model.

This is a 16" size, made-in-japan (at the Toyo factory in October 1990), GT Avalanche Frameset. What's pictured is what's included, and the
frame size is 16" as GT measured (Center BB to center TT) with a 21.5" effective horizontal top tube. The hard chromed/nickle-plated finish
likely means this was originally meant as a frame-only offering as they had begun to offer framesets as a seperate offering for the 1991 model
year. The production Avalanches that year were painted white and came with Deore DX components. The tubeset is a mix of Tange Prestige
and Prestige Concept double-butted chromoly, and the stem is likely made from Prestige tubing also.

The seattube requires a 30.0 seatpost clamp, the headtube takes 34mm cup external bearing 1 1/8 headsets, the front derailleur clamp size is
28.6 bottom-pull, the seat post size is 27.0, the BB shell is a 73mm width, and the dropouts are standard 135mm spacing. Also the brake studs are
for U-brakes only and the GT specific straddle cable guide for the seattube is included. The frame weighs 5.4 pounds as pictured.
