Ya Theyre great guys. I agree they were early when I order my 450 in 2012 but my covert was months late. It's not them I'm worried about its transition. With a new model, production problems and changes etc could cause problems. I know thats significantly less likely with an aluminum bike than a carbon bike but still.
Before I ordered my 450 I actually had a bid in for a nukeproof pulse pro that I placed in February, and by April Curtis wasn't happy that it didn't come so he offered me the 450 instead. Id have to say that much more of a manufacturer problem than a supplier problem. But like I said, once I go in again I'll shoot you a message and update you if anything has changed.

Anyone running an air shock like a CCDB Air or Vivid Air? Or is the ramp up at the end of travel too great causing the shock not to use all it's stroke?

I haven't seen this on pinkbike so I thought I would forward on this PSA from the friendly folks at transition.

If you have a 2012 TR450/250, take a look at the link and make sure your axle has been upgraded. The following is copied from the MTBR link.

Transition Bikes is currently replacing a batch of axles that were produced and sold with 2012 TR450 and TR250 models . If you have one of the affected axles you should contact the place of purchase immediately to receive a free replacement axle. Not all 2012 TR450s and TR250s have the affected axle so please review the below photo to see if you have an affected axle. The effected axle will have an M6 thread located inside the threaded end of the axle and an M6 retaining screw may be installed. Axles using a M5 thread and retaining screw are not affected.

If you have one of the affected axles, please remove it from your bike immediately and take it to the place of purchase for a free replacement immediately. You may also contact Transition Bikes directly to receive your free replacement axle.
