Dude, this is the same thing that happened to me. I was told I was gonna break my hardrock so I got a kona shred.. Good bike.

if you want a cheap dj bike that wont break EVAR, and your just getting into the sport, get a steel p1 or p2, never have i seen one of those broken 2 cents

its not the breaking, its the awkward turtle geo they have that bothers me, there are stp's, p.1's and p.2 chromo's all over git one

This. Any decent bike is going to suit a 135 pound rider fine, including Konas. Geometry is totally personal, to the op, I say just scour craigslist or whatever and ride what you can find. Haggle, buy, then ride.

It's simple.
