If the carbon one comes out this season ya. Otherwise it will be the new alloy frame. I believe they will be releasing the alloy version of the carbon frame even if the carbon isn't released.[/

Who told you that?
Correct. The alloy version will be out soon, then you can expect the carbon 650b Aurum around summer.

Nice build up! I have a question and hope you can help me. I'm a new owner of an Aurum 6.2 frame. Which spring rate should I take for the CCDB Coil? I'm about 145lbs in full outfit. The spring calculator says between 300 and 350. And is the SAG about 26% (20mm) which is suggested on the cane creek homepage useful? Thanks a lot in advance! Best greetz from the alps !

300 to 350 sounds about right. I'm about 180lbs and I have a 350 on my Aurum, which rides quite soft/deep in the travel, its a vivid coil though but I don't think that would make much of a difference. comes down to a bit of preference but i think either a 300 or 350 would probably be fine, basically comes down to how stiff you want it.

Do you really find it so? According to CC spring calc I should be running 350lbs, and I did have a 350 and it was way too soft, at least for my taste. I'm running 450 right now, which is a bit too stiff, so I might be changing 400lbs which should be perfect.
keep in mind that steel springs are not very accurate being +-25lbs when sold in 50lb increments, and I have found that to be the case myself, testing a steel spring that was supposed to be 300 at 280, The cane creek calculator is pretty accurate.
