302 swapped Volvo 240 anyone? All of my friends are swapping 240s and RX7s. 1UZ, RB25, 1JZ, LS etc. I want something out of the norm, and I feel like a swapped Volvo 240 would be right up my alley.

I wouldn't 302 swap, they're getting pretty played out even. A 760 from 88-90 would be a better idea, they have irs, good steering geometry, and a better interior. Bonus is they're cheaper than 240's because they don't have hipster tax, aluminum parts, etc.

What engine then?

Keep it Volvo and just do a 16v conversion. More than capable of making good power.

That's what I'm finding a few people have to say about them the more research I do. But who would expect a Volvo to be packing a 5.0?

It's not that uncommon lol. A built b234f+t would be more interesting and cooler sounding.

It is in an area where we've just got 240s and RX7s. All swapped of course. But I may be moving to Arizona. So I'm sure a V8 Volvo might be more common around here.

What would be better to learn in? 1997 BMW e36 or a Mazda Mx5. Just wanted opinions. I've driven my friends 240 and S13... Want my own ahaa

I like the e36 better for sliding. Also the fact no way in hell I fit in a mx5
