I was wondering do you have to use a chain tensioner with a dual suspension bike if the pivot point is at the bottom bracket?

Usually your going to have a vertical drop out on a SUS bike with no provision for tightening the cain from stretch..

Still need a tensioner..

The NS Soda Slope and the Black Market Killswitch would be examples of singlespeed dual-suspension slopestyle bikes, with horizontal dropouts (bmx/DJ style), that do not require a tensioner.

More common, though, you'll see people's singlespeed slopestyle bikes with the tensioner arm.

If the frame has a concentric bottom bracket you don't need a tensioner. Examples above^^

Dartmoor shine has a concentric bottom bracket, so no tensioner is needed.
