I am starting to build dirt jumps and I made a tiny one first using dirt. I went otb and hurt my ribs. I would not like this to happen again so what can I do. Link to the video of me crashing is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UB75lDHbwM
Any tips would help, thanks. PS. I know my feet weren't on pedals they fell off last second and i landed on seat.

Not a new video, but should be mandatory to watch before you go to any dirt jumps.

When your feet come off before a jump you go otb. no other option.

Take it as a big hint, if you launch a jump with your ass on the seat, you are not ready for jumping yet. Work on some biking fundamentals before you jump again.

Air up. Your tires look soft. As a rule of thumb, I run 50psi front and rear. Less flats and it'll make you faster.

Get more comfortable on the bike. Practice track stands, wheelies, hops and endos.

View some of the low speed tricks in this series or similar for technique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nQSyLOoN2U

Practice, practice, practice. Get real comfortable on the pedals. Master the low speed stuff before you try any high speed launches. Much less time to think/react at high speed.

Have fun! Salute
