being told by some this is becoming a common issue, over greased thread shaft etc when installing to avoid this problem.

even the lockring splines has sheared off :/
looks like its another sram warranty again

any tricks out there to remove cassette without cutting it off, bit off a killer with less then 50% wear?!

There are several problems with removing the cassette. You may find this article is relevant:

I just send the freehub and cassette to sram.

They send me a cassette I buy a freehub.

Works out cheaper then a cassette which actually comes off.

£70 vs £180
