Skim through this mega-thread.

Questions to think about:

1. How much space do you have? What is the usable size of the yard?

2. Is it flat? If not, how can you use the slants ? If it's flat . . . how can you create some artificial elevation points (drop-in, platform, wallride etc) For roll-ins, read through this thread: http://ridemonkey.bikemag.com/threads/roll-ins.228191/

3. Do you want to mainly jump, pump, or both?

This drawing is not to show exact dimensions/plans (that can depend a lot on what you want, style of riding etc.) but it does show a general idea of space for having three jumps in a row. You're basically at around 90 feet. Then when you factor in a platform/roll-in area, plus something to turn around on (wall ride or berm), you're looking at needing about 140 feet minimum to get this type of "6-pack" (i.e. 3 doubles) built.
