yeah my brother has one. check the pictures and you'll see it. you will also see the cracked arch of the kingpin lol! very good bike though. with the shivers, it is 38.9 pounds! corners very well, it's stable at speed, stiff rear end etc etc

that's lighter than i thought it would be and i'm thinking of putting some marzocchi 888's on it with 170mm travel for £350. I think it should be a pretty descent bike when it's finished.

or some marzocchi super t's 185mm : £280

please could somebody advise me which one to getBig Grin

go for a lighter fork. The plus comes stock with 7/7... but the front fork isn't great. The woodbumble (more expensive single-crown) comes with a sherman (S.C.).
I'd suggest go with a travis single.. lighter, and gives you more options.
A boxxer would be good, too!

hey thereCool how is the turning radius of the boxxers compared to the stances? those stances were very bad in that line, you had very restricted turning.

if you are gonna be racing, i'd try to rise the front with 200mm travel forks (better head angle). As you might already know the manitous need extra sanction length to stop the reverse arch hitting the frame. So even though the stances are only 170mm travel, they have (i think) 8.5 inches of sanction.
If you were to replace these with zocchi 170mm forks you might get a steeper(then already) head angle.
so just a word of warning, if you have the opportunity try them on your bike first (whatever one you are getting) before buying them and see how they bike feels.
Hope this helpsSmile

okay but what about the 2007 marzocchi super-t rcv with 185mm £279.99
or
2008 marzocchi 888 rcv £539.99

bearing in mind the bike will cost £800
so which one will not be racing and i am only 14 so i dont get a lot of money

ive ridden his bike and the boxxers are a vast improvement to the stances
they feel much more plush and responsive and generally improve the ride quality by miles. The turing is better on the boxxers than the stances
