in my opinion the best fork would be a 66 or a totem if it is used more for FR/DH

I have a '08 SXtrail with a '06 66 rc2x 170 and I'm telling you, the best combo ever. The HA is spot on for lite DH and the travel matches nicely the rear. Probably that's why it feels so balanced. It's not the lightest fork for climbing, but it will reward you on the descents. If you want a lite DH/FR/HC enduro bike find one of those forks, put it on the SXtrail and you'll have the perfect bike. I had the luck to find a new 66 half a year ago, so I bought it straight away and I don't regret it at all Wink

coil or air totem? i don't care about weight. have a coil in the back on the sxTrail so was wondering what you totem riders recomend/like.

coil just plain feels better, and is more reliable.

finally got the Totem(coil) and got to ride some DH. awesome awesome awesome.

A 66 w/ 170mm of travel will feel perfectly balanced seeing as that is the same amount of rear travel.

Get a 05-07 66 though

My friend runs a 66 and it is LUSH. If you have the money, get one. I'd suggest the '08's but I hear good stuff about the '07's. Whatever.

Thinking of putting a Rockshox Domain 318 u-turn 160mm on mine...Is this fork good enough for some FR/DH slopestyle etc?

Went for the 180mm 66'

180mm > 160mm for my use i think.
Couldnt get hold of the rockshox domain 318is coil 180mm here in norway. Here they claim they only can get hold of the 160mm uturn version. baww
