Frower Power - The Gnomes Revolution part 3

Is it possible to take part in the Gnomes Cup when you are more than 40? Let’s say, I half did it. To be more precise, my better half did it. Although for a long time she has been trying to keep her distance from mountain bikes she finally made up her mind and flew with the mainstream down the Stożek Hill following her own flesh and blood – Marta maRACH WypiórTON.

Her intention was to supervise her miniature copy but on the curves of the funpark it was not so simple to guess who could be the savior and who the victim if they complicated their trajectories. While maRACH was lying down at the top of the bands her mother maintained standing straight at the bottom. Finally they both rolled the track.

It was like a famous dance of the Big Michael with the Little Michael or rather Michelle&Michelle tango improvisation. How better could we start the third round of the Gnomes Cup?

Threatened by weather forecasts for several days, something evil hanging in the air. It felt like doom looming over the gnomes races. Nevertheless it had not started to rain yet. Apparently we browbeat the evil with this danse macabre. Lucky for us.

Because it had been sunny for several days the track was dry and fast enough to give maximum satisfaction to the gnomes.

The youngest ones wrapped around the counter the maximum distance by taking the traversing road to reach in the end bands of the funpark, where everybody had to show what a low rider he/she was.

Older gnomes (those registered in public records not later than in 2003 ;-) deviated at maximum speed indicator, descending bellow the lift on full gas, disregarding the midway steep and narrow turns and having huge fun on the curves of the park before the finish.

And their mates from the Totalbikes Camp, running after the gnomes, showed how to make the shortest cross throughout the face of the stop-watch.

It was nice to watch the Gnomes Cup becoming more and more dynamic.
Round 3 of the Gnomes Cup 2011
Because once you start you can’t stop everybody was waiting for the second run. Unfortunately the evil hanging above us finally identified its destiny in raining.
Round 3 of the Gnomes Cup 2011
Although it was not our old enemy - the storm the rain was still wet enough to bedew the track.
Round 3 of the Gnomes Cup 2011
And again the fast singieltrail as we knew it transformed into a slippery crawler where only a few riders were clever enough to yoke it like they were fakirs dealing with a perfidious snake.
Round 3 of the Gnomes Cup 2011
Anyhow, despite the fact that the second runs were not as dynamic as the first ones still kids descended with a dynamite, which from time to time managed to drop off the seat too cocky rider.

But believe me, gnomes don't care for crashes.
