Clemens Capeller just put together this trip story about the Trek Gravity Girls and their trip to Mallorca - rough life for these ladies! We all wish we were there too!
A Fototrip on the Spanish Island in the Mediterranean Sea shows the Trek Gravity Girls the wild and rough side of the Islands
The Spanish Islands Mallorca is located in the Mediterranean Sea. It is well known by nearly every European roadie. A lot of road pro teams are holding their early training camps in the mild climate of the islands. Thousands of road bikers from all different levels are coming to the islands during winter and spring in Europe to get the first kilometers in their legs. So the idea came up, that these beautiful Islands must have some amazing destinations for us mountain bikers too.
MTB meets road. Mallorca is favorite roadies destination during the winter times in Europe. The Girls cruising near the famous "Ballerman". Showing the "roadies" what real bikes look like.
One of the sweetest things about spending your riding holiday on an island is that you can end your riding day at the beach and enjoy the sunset with a drink.
But besides nice trails and beaches there's also room for some airtime at Mallorca. The girls getting some air on some tracks build by some locals. Thanks for showing us.
Some nice North Shore parts are always welcome. The locals did some great work building them.
Another sweet rocky trail.
It's time for some wall rides.
The girls back on some sweet Mediterranean trails.
The local way of shuttling - open-topped pick up truck.
Need for speed.
This trip was in 2009 and the Trek Gravity Girls from that season were: Katja Rupf, Steffi Marth, Solveig Lindgren, and Janine Hürlimann.
